The How to be a Star™ journey is a magical and engaging experience that guides each young learner on an exciting path of discovery. Developed to aid and nurture growth and self-expression, the creative underpinning supports every learner to shine, grow, and unlock their imaginations.

The How to be a Star™ Story Song Collection offers a unique and creative learning resource. Our collection features original, high-quality story songs, thoughtfully designed to support educators while nurturing each learner’s development, providing engaging experiences while aligning with and enriching UK curriculum objectives.​​

Developed in collaboration with teachers and educational professionals, and shaped by the needs of diverse learning environments, the approach ensures that resources are practical, adaptable, and relevant for use in classrooms, home education, and community settings.

Through music, storytelling and song and creative activities, an immersive, interactive, and multi-sensory learning experiences are facilitated.  Inspiring and igniting young minds.

 

Each story song is a learner-centred resource, grounded in a holistic and organic approach to learning, designed to encourage creativity and self-expression while providing a vibrant foundation for musical exploration and supporting imagination, communication, and personal growth.​​

We have been delivering music and singing programmes locally since 2008 across a wide range of educational settings, including early years (babies and toddlers), nurseries, primary and secondary schools (KS1–KS3), music schools, community and summer workshops, after-school clubs, school choirs, and SEND provision.

At the heart of our approach is a deep belief in the power of music, song, and storytelling to transform learning into a joyful, creative, and immersive experience. Designed for young learners, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), it reflects our commitment to being Strong, Trustworthy, Respectful, Inspirational, Valued, and Educated (STRIVE) in everything we do.

Through creative, multi-sensory activities, we nurture every aspect of a child’s development—building emotional strength (Strong), creating safe and supportive learning experiences (Trustworthy), and encouraging respect for self and others (Respectful).

Through imaginative play, expression, and improvisation, we inspire confidence and aspiration (Inspirational), celebrate every child’s unique strengths and contributions (Valued), and support meaningful learning that develops both academic and personal growth (Educated).
